Morganne Durham, EIT, Project Engineer

Morganne obtained a B.S. degree in Biological Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech. While pursuing her degree, she had an interest in watershed modeling in ArcGIS and RStudio and system hydraulics. She designed a vegetated swale for a local vineyard in an attempt to reduce fungicide runoff, which gave her unique experience in environmental site design techniques. Her work experience includes engineering with the Western Virginia Water Authority coordination with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.

"I knew I wanted to be an engineer when I started to think about how our designs make peoples' lives easier. I appreciate how my projects transform an empty field into a roadway, a park, or a school. If you go outside and look around and realize the conveniences engineering allows, it's help you appreciate the design side of things. I like helping others this way."
